Sausage Stuffed Won Tons

Look at these cute little wontons! My sister introduced these to me this summer. You use a mini muffin tin to make them so they are perfect little two-bite appetizers. Or you can serve them as your main entrée. They look scrumptious and taste even better!

Source: Dawn B.

1 pkg. Tennessee Pride “Hot” Sausage
1 pkg. shredded Cheddar/Jack Cheese
1 Green Pepper
1 can of chopped black olives
8 oz bottle of Hidden Valley Ranch
1 pkg. of Won Tons
Mini Muffin Pan

Cook the sausage while cutting your pepper into pretty small pieces as well as pre-heating your oven to 400 degrees.

Once the sausage has cooked thoroughly – strain it. I always use paper towels in my strainer and really get as much grease out of it as possible. If you don’t do this – once your Won Tons cook the second time around – you will have greasy Won Tons.

Once the sausage is strained and ready – put it all together in a bowl. (You will use the entire ranch if you buy an 8 oz) Mix it all up.

You have to place your Won Tons in the muffin pan WITHOUT the mixture 1st. Tuck them down into the pan and form the Won Ton to stay open - cook 5 minutes. Once they have cooked by themselves for 5 minutes – fill the Won Tons with your mixture and cook them for another 5 minutes and they are done. You won’t want to cook them more then the 10 minutes noted or you will have burnt Won Tons…

  1. I've had these won tons before but they were served cold... is it possible to just stuff them and then refrigerate?
