Slow Berry Cobbler

I made this Paula Deen recipe for my family who was in town visiting this weekend. It was a big hit and goes great with vanilla ice cream! You know that if it's a Paula Deen recipe than it must be good!

Slow Berry Cobbler
Source: Paula Deen

Filling:
1 (10 oz.) bag frozen strawberries
1 (10 oz.) bag frozen blueberries
1 (10 oz.) bag frozen raspberries
1/3 c. sugar
1/2 c. baking mix

Topping:
2 1/4 c. baking mix
1/4 c. sugar, plus 1/4 c.
4 T. butter, melted
1/2 c. milk
2 t. ground cinnamon

Directions
Spray the insert of a slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray.

In a large mixing bowl, toss together all the frozen fruit, sugar and 1/2 cup baking mix. Transfer the fruit to the slow cooker. In another large mixing bowl, stir together 2 1/4 cups baking mix, 1/4 cup sugar, melted butter and milk with a wooden spoon. With your hands, drop bits of dough on top of the fruit in the slow cooker. In a small mixing bowl, stir together the remaining 1/4 cup sugar and ground cinnamon. Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar on top of the dough and place the lid on the slow cooker. Turn the power onto high and slow cook for 3 to 4 hours until the topping has puffed and the fruit is bubbling.

Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream.

My Favorite Recipe of All

To All My Readers,

I am sorry I haven't been able to post many recipes lately! I've been a little busy with my newest "recipe" and haven't had much time to cook. Things will be back to normal before you know it and I'll be posting more soon.

In the meantime, I'd like to introduce you to the newest member of our family. Baby Kadence was born on April 26th and weighed 7 pounds and 10 ounces. She is such a blessing to us!
