Chinese Fried Rice

This is a family favorite in our house but it's a hard recipe to share because I really don't have any measurements for you. I will however share the list of ingredients and then you can try your own version of Chinese fried rice at home.




Chinese Fried Rice

White rice, cooked and cooled
Butter
Garlic, minced
Green onions, chopped
5-6 eggs, beaten
Garlic salt
Garlic powder
Sesame Oil
Soy Sauce
Chicken, cooked (optional)
Diced vegetables (optional)

Make a large pot of rice either on the stove or in your rice cooker. Let cool. In a large frying pan or wok, melt 2-3 T. butter on high heat. Saute garlic. Add in green onions. Add in eggs and scramble until almost cooked through. Add in several cups of rice and stir. Sprinkle on some garlic powder and garlic salt, drizzle on some sesame oil and stir well over the high heat. At the very end add in a generous amount of soy sauce stirring very well. Remove from heat and enjoy!
