As promised, here's the caramel fondue recipe. My mom used to make this a lot when I was a kid. It can be served warm or cold. I served it warm, but the cold leftovers the following day were just as good!
Some of the dippers included apple slices, strawberries, and bananas. My personal favorite is the caramel fondue with banana slices! (At least the banana part of it is healthy! haha)
Caramel Fondue
1/4 c. water
1 (14 oz.) bag Kraft caramels
1 (8 oz.) container sour cream
Unwrap caramels, place in microwave safe bowl. Add 1/4 cup
water. Microwave on high, 1 minute at a time, stirring
after each minute until completely blended and melted. When
completely melted, blend in the sour cream a little at a
time until evenly blended together. Can be served cold or warmed.
