This is just like those yummy pickle wraps but so much easier to make! I think it's quite ironic that I got this recipe from a very pregnant friend of mine (since there are lots of pickles in it) but you don't have to be pregnant to enjoy this dip. Try it out!
Pickle Wrap Dip
Source: Barbie F.
1 8-oz. pkg cream cheese (you can use fat free)
1 container chive and onion cream cheese (low fat if you can find it)
1 c. sour cream
1 pkg Budding Dried beef, chopped
Lots of dill pickles, chopped (I used 3/4 of a big jar of pickles!)
Mix together and serve with club crackers.
What is Budding Dried beef and where do you get it?
ReplyDeleteBudding is just a brand. I couldn't find Budding dried beef on the east coast but I did find a different brand.
ReplyDeleteIt's dried, smoked, and salted beef. You can find it at your local grocery store by the pre-packaged ham, turkey, and bologna. It usually comes in a plastic package.
ha ha ha! very funny!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI did wonder if it was a bit odd when I was typing it up on Facebook!!!! But it's not!

Made this for a party tonight. I have to admit I was a little nervous..the ingredients were a little weird, but Kathie and B have never steered me wrong. It's YUMMY and it makes a ton. I have plenty for the party and left-overs.
ReplyDeleteThanks for providing recipe. Its amazing. PIckle recipes are also there in indianrecipes.co.in
ReplyDeleteJust made this dip for a get together happening tonight. I used RF (1/3 of reg) cream cheese, the regular Chive & Onion spread (couldn't find the RF version, dang!), three 6-oz. containers of 0% Chobani Plain Greek yogurt instead of the cup of sour cream. 1 90 cal. pkg Buddig Corned Beef and 1.5 tsp dried dill. Then came a 24 oz jar reduced sodium Vlasic dill spears.
ReplyDeleteEven if you have 4 Tbsp. of this dip as I prepared (makes 17 servings at that amount), it only works out to 88 CALORIES! 5.5g fat (3.5 satf), <2g sugar, and 5g PROTEIN! Awesome.
